Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Travel Consultant will be responsible for handling flight ticket reservations, itinerary planning, holiday package sales, and customer inquiries. The role involves providing suitable travel solutions, managing bookings, coordinating with airlines and travel partners, and ensuring a smooth and satisfactory travel experience for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Handle domestic and international flight ticket reservations, re-issuance, cancellations, and refunds.
Provide customers with flight schedules, fares, routing options, and travel information.
Prepare and issue air tickets and related travel documents accurately.
Develop and sell holiday packages, customized tours, and travel itineraries based on customer requirements.
Handle customer inquiries through phone, email, social media, and in-person communication.
Provide professional consultation on destinations, travel arrangements, visa requirements, and other travel-related services.
Coordinate with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other travel partners.
Follow up on bookings, payments, confirmations, cancellations, and amendments.
Maintain accurate records of reservations, customer details, and transactions.
Promote travel packages and contribute to achieving sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Handle customer complaints and resolve booking or travel-related issues promptly.
Stay updated on airline schedules, fares, travel policies, and destination information.
Prepare sales and booking reports as required by management.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Management, or a related field.
Relevant experience in travel agency, airline ticketing, reservation, or holiday package sales will be preferred.
Good knowledge of flight ticketing and reservation procedures.
Experience with GDS/airline reservation systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of domestic and international destinations and travel products.
Strong sales, negotiation, and customer-service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer applications.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple bookings efficiently.
Positive, professional, and customer-oriented attitude.
Strong follow-up, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
