As a TECH Security Specialist at TGBS, you will be responsible for safeguarding remote end-user devices and Cloud systems. You will plan and implement security measures to protect sensitive data and systems from cyber attacks, hacking attacks, intrusion, infiltration, and natural disasters

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Monitor and secure on-site networks remotely and cloud systems against threats and unauthorized access.
  •  Develop and implement security policies and protocols.
  •  Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security standards.
  •  Manage firewall and intrusion detection systems.
  •  Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause and implement preventive measures.
  •  Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and hacker tactics.
  •  Train and guide staff on information security best practices.
  •  Coordinate with IT and other departments to improve security.
  •  Respond to and recover from security incidents and breaches.
  •  Manage security tools and software, ensuring they are updated and maintained.
  •  Assist in the creation of disaster recovery plans and business continuity plans.
  •  Report findings and suggest improvements to higher management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  •  1 year of experience in an information security role.
  •  Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, and other industry-standard techniques and practices.
  •  In-depth understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  •  Familiarity with web-related technologies and network/web-related protocols.
  •  Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  •  Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  •  Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or similar are highly preferred.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  •  Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
  •  Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
  •  Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
  •  Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies, and methods.

Qualified applicants must:

  • Manage and mitigate IT/Tech problems and issues for a team of individuals
  • Multitask. Our firm moves quickly and you need to be able to keep up and handle multiple projects at the same time. You are expected to manage your projects, and priorities, and ensure everything assigned is completed by the deadlines. Either work additional hours as needed, or communicate with management that you need an extended deadline.
  • Have excellent analytical skills to be able to keep up with current tech & you are expected to streamline and make more efficient our firm (automating systems, streamlining, finding software to process complex tasks, etc.)
  • Be Proactive - Find issues, seek out problems, and correct them before they occur. Consider how you can make your position obsolete (so that we can move you into more senior-type tasks & projects).
  • Recommend new tech as it gets released if it is appropriate for our systems, workflows, teams, etc.
  • High communication skills are mandatory. Be ready to Skype on call, work through issues with staff and clients, assist and train, film videos for training modules, etc. FLUENT spoken English & proper grammar usage are required. This position requires you to be online and monitor our team, computers, and Slack communications, and be very active while you are on the clock, we need someone available for standard USA working hours and available on-call if needed.
  • Have at least 5 years of previous experience in a similar role. -Have at least 3 years of previous job experience in IT security
  • All pertinent work experience must either have been with a firm/company/individual in the United States or usable for a company operating in Arizona, U.S.A.
  • Be flexible! Sometimes other teams will need your assistance (marketing, admin, operations, sales, etc.), and be prepared to take on any task to help the overall team.

Major plus if you have;

  •  Security clearances to work in the USA
  •  Familiarity with Slack, Insightly, Google Suite, ProConnect Tax Online, Lacerte, QuickBooks, ATX, Jotform, SQL, Zapier, Infusionsoft, IFTTT, WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP,
  •  Server management experience
  •  Familiarity with multiple programming languages is not mandatory but would be a bonus

  •  Internet Speed: At least 10mbps

Hours:

You must have overlap time with both the USA and India/Africa time zones as our team is Global. The department works 24/7 on shifts to cover staff working globally. Please make sure you can work flexible hours before you apply.
