Minimum Required Qualification and Skills:
Education/Experience: Master’s Degree in Public Health or any other relevant subject with at least three years minimum work experience in community-based programs, preferably in HIV. Experience in conceptualizing and monitoring implementation of community-based initiatives and in planning/carrying out related training activities. Clinical educational background will be an added benefit.
Skills/Qualities: Ability to work independently and multi-task with minimal supervision; an excellent command of oral and written English and Nepali; strong team player, and able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external stakeholders.
Basic Functions:As an active member of FHI Technical Unit, Technical Officer (Community Initiatives) will provide all necessary technical guidance to ASHA Project’s community based activities such as Community and Home Based Care, Community Based–PMTCT, and treatment literacy). S/he will contribute to ASHA Project’s national and local level collaboration and provide technical assistance including training.
