ROLE: Technical Analyst

LEVEL: Level 1 (Senior Officer)

DEPARTMENT: Country Systems Support (Information Technology - IT)

REPORTS TO: Head of IT

LOCATION: Head Office, Naya Baneshwor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide technical support on servers, network and end user devices and applications
  • Engage in problem and incident management process in resolving IT issues
  • Engage in request and change management process in addressing business requests and production system changes
  • Engage in project implementation for new system roll-outs & changes in existing applications
  • Ensure vulnerability patch management for infrastructure, application, database and network
  • Manage databases and provide technical support to business on generating analytics
  • Ensure Cyber Security and Data Protection technical requirement in the systems supported
  • Manage Contract and Service Level Agreements with internal units, technology support team in Group Technology and service providers
  • Identify and address IT risk and compliance issues by engaging all technology teams in country and the Group
  • Identify areas to minimize business and operational risk. Ensure Disaster Recovery arrangement for service recovery as per recovery time objectives
  • Keep internal business users abreast of business changes and innovations

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in the field of computer science and 5 years equivalent of work experience
  • Applicants possessing certifications on MS SQL, COBIT, ITIL, PMP will be given preference
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience on server, network, and end user devices and applications
  • Broad skills and knowledge on evolving technologies
  • Flexible, innovative, self-motivated and change oriented
  • Prior experience in managing projects and programmes
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills with self-motivated and directed attitude
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Applicants with proven professional skills possessing verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
