Roles and responsibilities of this job

NIMB Ace Capital Limited is a leading investment and merchant banking company licensed by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator to manage,support, and secure our IT infrastructure and ensure smooth functioning of all network, server, and system operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain the company’s network infrastructure, servers, databases, and endpoint devices.
Configure and manage routers, switches, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls to ensure secure and efficient network performance.
Manage and support operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.
Oversee services such as Active Directory, File Servers, Proxy Servers, Email Systems, IIS, Endpoint Security, and Backup Solutions.
Administer and maintain databases including MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
Support and maintain virtualization and cloud-based environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networks, operating systems, hardware, and software.
Provide end-user support and ensure compliance with IT policies and best practices.
Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and incident reports.

Essential Technical Skills:

Networking Protocols (TCP/IP, DNS)
Network hardware configuration (Routers, Switches)
Network security (VLAN, VPN, Firewall)
Operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac)
Administration of:
o MS Active Directory Services
o File Server, Internet Proxy Server, IIS
o Endpoint Security, Email Systems, Backup Services
Database administration (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud environments
Strong troubleshooting skills for network, OS, and peripherals
User support and helpdesk management

Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
6–7 years of relevant experience in IT system and network administration.
Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Network+/Security+) will be an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: Above Rs. 100,000 based on qualifications and experience.
