Strong negotiation, coordination, communication and interpersonal skills (diplomacy, patience, pro-active and independent approach to work with willingness to undertake additional responsibilities, ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure, ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain positive working relationships, resourceful in resolving problems and initiating solutions and fluency in English and Nepali (spoken, written, typing).
SBC Specialist is responsible for designing, leading and managing all SBC activities (HIV prevention and behavior change) working closely with HIV Program, Technical and Strategic Information Units and provides technical assistance to implementing NGOS partners, the Government of Nepal and other collaborating partners in a structured, systematic and effective manner. SBC Specialist will ensure SBC strategies and prevention guidelines and activities are reflected in project documents, used in behavior change related prevention activities and align with the National AIDS Program.
