The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is providing Technical Assistance (TA) to the Government of Nepal (GoN) for the implementation of the Motorable Local Roads Bridge Programme, Phase-IV in all 7 provinces.

Job Outline

Under the overall guidance and supervision of Administration and Human Resource Officer (AHRO), the Store Keper and Inventory Assistant will perform the tasks of store keeper and inventory management. 

Qualifications and Experience

The (SKIA) should have SLC with 10 years’ experience, Intermediate with 7 years’ experience or Bachelor's degree with 5 years’ experience in relevant field. Preferably work experience with INGOs/Development sector /LRBP with good spoken and written English and Nepali

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

The staff works as guided by the AHRO and the main tasks include, but not limited to

  • Assist in handling and monitoring of Stock Register Book and other records related to the store.
  • Issue of items after getting approved documents/Chalan 
  • Delivery and receipt of CISC store items
  • Keep records of items issued to staff and consultants
  • Maintain effective assets and inventory management
  • Avail specific spaces for archiving/retrieving the documents and files
  • Keep all items in a safe way and arrange appropriately so as to maximize use of space in the store.
  • Responsible for keeping the store clean and tidy.
  • Keep equipment clean and serviceable.
  • Keep records of servicing of equipment.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of items.
  • Operate the office generator in accordance with schedules and at any unscheduled times of power outage.

Other Important Duties

  • Performs such other duties as may be required e.g. distributing official mails, clear utility bills, receive/ drop official visitors/staff at the airport, provide logistic support during workshops/seminars, etc.
  • For project related meetings, coordination visits and other administrative support tasks, travels may be required to Kathmandu and/or other places as required. 
  • Responds immediately to accident or medical emergencies as prescribed by SDC Safety and Security Plan
