Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a motivated and organized Store Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the daily operations of our store by receiving, organizing, storing, and issuing goods efficiently. This role ensures accurate inventory management, proper documentation, and smooth coordination with purchasing and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders/invoices.
Properly store items in designated locations following FIFO/FEFO principles.
Monitor stock levels and report low stock or discrepancies to the Manager.

Issuing Materials:

Issue materials to departments based on approved requisitions.
Maintain accurate records of stock movements.
Ensure correct quantities are issued at all times.

Record Keeping:

Update stock records in inventory systems (Excel/ERP).
Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.

Store Organization:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
Ensure proper labeling and arrangement of items.
Follow safety and storage standards.

Stock Checking:

Assist in regular stock counts and monthly/annual physical inventory.
Report damaged, expired, or missing items promptly.

Coordination:

Coordinate with departments for material requests and ensure timely supply.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.

Preferred Experience:

1–2 years of experience in store, warehouse, or hospitality.
Knowledge of stock control systems or ERP software.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Basic knowledge of inventory and stock management.
Proficiency in Excel or familiarity with inventory/ERP software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle physical tasks (lifting and moving goods).
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Problem-solving mindset and reliability.
