Roles and responsibilities of this job

Reports To: Project Manager / ESHS Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Implement social safeguard, labor, and community engagement activities as per contract requirements.
Maintain communication with local communities and address grievances in coordination with the project documents.
Conduct awareness and induction programs for workers on social and behavioral obligations.
Monitor and ensure compliance with labor management, gender inclusion, and workers’ welfare requirements.
Prepare and submit monthly social safeguard and grievance reports.
Support coordination with local authorities and stakeholders for smooth project implementation.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Social Work, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in total with community consultation, gender and social management skills, including 5 years’ experience as a social specialist on development projects
Knowledge of national laws and international safeguard requirements (ADB/World Bank).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Nepali.
