Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

For Engineer

Dealing with change orders, delays, variation orders, price adjustment, bonus, Lab tests etc
Submission of every interim payment certificates for payment
Receiving instructions from the client/ consultant/ engineer and taking action on time
Immediate information to the Project Manager of Head office for any obstruction to the progress of the work
Planning and allocating right people to the right place
Conducting weekly site meeting
Submit monthly work progress report within seven days of next month to Project Manager in the head office.
Ensure implementation of construction activity in line with the design and budget formulated by the organization.
Provide timely and accurate information to account department and site managers/supervisors.
Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site and ensure that all materials used and works performed are in accordance with the specifications.
Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors.
Plan the work and efficiently organize the site in order to meet agreed deadlines
Undertaking of necessary surveys.
Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency and implementation to those improvements.

For Sub-Engineer:

Quality check of construction material and quality control of labor works.
Carryout survey and layout for construction works on site.
Documenting survey data and updating if any changes occur.
Regular supervision of site work to ensure completion with in time.
Take measurements of the completed work and record in the measurement book.
Supervise the work of sub-contractors.
Provide technical guidance on site as per designs, drawings and specification.
Report on deviation of actual consumption and progress of the task from budget.
Work in direct coordination with engineer and carry out any other assigned task.
Perform any other duties as assigned.

For Engineer:

Must have a Bachelor degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a related field
In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design
Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software
Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.)
Knowledge of relevant earthquake and disaster-resistant structures
The proven track record for managing personnel and material resources
Exemplary critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills
Strong time management and project management skills
Active listening and verbal communication skills
Highly developed team management and leadership skill
Willingness to work more than official hours during the needs

For Sub-Engineer

Diploma in Civil Engineering
At least 3 years of experience in construction of road, building, bridge and irrigation
Sound Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.)
Strong problem solving and conflict resolution abilities
Outstanding communication skills-written and spoken
Willingness to work more than official hours during the needs
Ability and willingness to work in a team and to work under pressure in the remote areas
