Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Site Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations at our construction site. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate accounting records, oversee cash and bank transactions, process payroll and vendor payments, monitor project costs and inventory, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and prepare timely financial reports to support effective project and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate accounting records for all site financial transactions, including cash, bank, and journal entries.
Manage petty cash, prepare payment and receipt vouchers, and perform regular cash reconciliations.
Verify supplier invoices and process vendor payments in accordance with company policies.
Prepare and process payroll for site employees and laborers based on attendance records.
Maintain records of construction materials and coordinate inventory reconciliation with the store team.
Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and report cost variances to management.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, including VAT and TDS, and maintain supporting documentation.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and submit them to the Head Office Finance Department.
Assist in internal and external audits by maintaining proper documentation and ensuring adherence to internal controls.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

At least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
Experience in bank reconciliation, and cash flow monitoring.
Knowledge of VAT, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations.
Experience in inventory/material accounting and project cost tracking.
Ability to prepare financial reports, payroll, and vendor payment reconciliations.
Familiarity with documentation, and internal control procedures.
Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
