Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Site Accountant to manage and oversee all accounting and financial activities at the project site. The candidate will ensure accurate recording of site expenses, labor payments, material tracking, and reporting to head office for smooth financial coordination of construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain daily site accounts and financial records
Record and manage all site expenses, vouchers, and petty cash
Handle labor payments, contractor bills, and subcontractor settlements
Monitor material purchases, usage, and stock reconciliation
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for head office
Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions at site
Coordinate with storekeeper, engineer, and site in-charge for financial accuracy
Assist in preparation of bills and invoices related to project work
Maintain cash flow records and ensure proper cash handling control
Support internal and external audit processes
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and tax regulations

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in site accounting (construction sector preferred)
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and site operations
Experience in handling petty cash, labor payments, and site reporting
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
Honest, responsible, and able to work under pressure
