Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent preferred, but we value expertise over a degree.
Three years of experience in PHP
Extensive knowledge of HTTP, GET, POST, HTTP Headers
Experienced with the integration of third-party APIs and web services
Proficient regular expressions, XPath and CSS selectors
Strong command in character encodings, database (SQL & NoSQL), jQuery and other javascript frameworks is a plus
A team player with strong interpersonal skills, a collaborator who shares knowledge with the peers
Three years of experience in PHP

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Build large scale crawlers that can crawl through millions of pages
Manage and refine existing crawlers using PHP and other means such as scrapy, selenium, phantonjs et cetera
Contribute to the development of the in-house crawling framework
Work as a part of the team to in planning, designing and the development of the product, improvements, and the new features
Be a part of something big and push the cutting edge tools even further
Communicate with the client through e-mail to understand requirements and discuss possible solutions
