We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team!
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for writing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test scripts. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software products by implementing and maintaining robust automation strategies. You will collaborate closely with developers and product managers, contributing to a smoother testing process and driving quality improvements across the board.
What Will You Be Responsible For?
A. Test Automation & Script Development
- Lead the creation, development, and execution of automated test scripts for functional, regression, and system testing, ensuring smooth, efficient processes.
- Write clear, maintainable, and scalable automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Focus on improving test automation coverage, reliability, and execution speed, enabling faster releases with high quality.
- Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to streamline testing cycles.
B. Manual Testing & Test Design
- Oversee manual testing efforts, ensuring thorough test case design and execution for complex scenarios.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure thorough test coverage, especially for new features and releases.
- Review test cases and provide guidance to junior QA engineers to improve the overall quality of testing.
C. Collaboration & Quality Assurance
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other QA engineers to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defects and work with developers to prioritize and resolve them effectively.
- Set up and maintain test environments that align with product specifications and testing needs.
D. Continuous Improvement & Mentoring
- Drive best practices for automation, continuously evaluating new tools and methodologies to improve the testing process and team efficiency.
- Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers, helping them improve their automation and manual testing skills.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of the QA process, promoting efficiency and reducing bottlenecks in testing workflows.
How Qualified Should You Be?
- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on automation.
- Proficient in writing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with test management tools like JIRA and TestRail.
- Strong experience with Laravel or similar frameworks for automation scripting.
- Expertise in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex software systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in testing SaaS applications and WordPress-based products is a plus.
