Position Overview

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage daily logistics operations while also building the systems and teams needed for the next phase of growth. You’ll oversee the end-to-end delivery cycle — from pickup to last-mile fulfillment — ensuring speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Daily Operations

  • Oversee and optimize the entire delivery process — pickups, sorting, dispatch, and last-mile completion.
  • Ensure SLAs for delivery time, accuracy, and customer satisfaction are consistently met.
  • Coordinate closely with logistics leads, pickup-receive leads, and delivery supervisors to maintain smooth daily flow.

2. Build and Strengthen Systems

  • Standardize and document operating procedures across hubs and delivery teams.
  • Implement performance tracking for delivery success rate, failed deliveries, and reattempts.
  • Collaborate with the tech team to integrate operational data into ERP dashboards.

3. Manage People and Performance

  • Lead and mentor operations officers, hub leads, and delivery personnel.
  • Align workforce planning with demand fluctuations (seasonal peaks, campaigns, regional expansions).
  • Work closely with the People Operations (HR) Manager on recruitment, training, and incentive programs.

4. Drive Efficiency and Cost Optimization

  • Analyze route performance, fuel usage, and delivery cost per parcel; identify ways to improve margins.
  • Plan resource allocation, fleet utilization, and vendor coordination to reduce wastage.
  • Introduce lean processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Strengthen Communication and Customer Focus

  • Ensure clear, timely communication between operations, customer support, and vendor management teams.
  • Handle escalated delivery or pickup issues with professionalism and urgency.
  • Champion a customer-first mindset across all operational layers.

6. Plan for Growth and Expansion

  • Prepare operational readiness for expansion to new cities and regional hubs.
  • Assess potential partners, facilities, and micro-hub locations for scalability.
  • Build data-driven forecasts and resource models for future capacity planning.
