SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and finance 
  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance or ACCA 
  • Required language(s): English

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Accounts Receivable: 

  • Provide timely client invoicing 
  • Follow up for collection and track payment collection 
  • Provide collection report to the manager 
  • Review clients/consultants’ contract/agreement 
  • Monitor and analyze customer profitability

Accounts Payable: 

  • Review quotation and issuance of Purchase Order 
  • Calculate, record business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization 
  • Review and ensure complete documents regarding vendor invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval 
  • Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices, or correspondence necessary for files 
  • Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments 
  • Tracking and maintaining overheads 
  • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analysis in all areas of the company

COMPLIANCE:

  • Responsible for compliance-related matters as per the law of the land
  • Compute monthly relevant tax as regulated by the law of the land
  • Liaise with tax authorities including other relevant government bodies
  • Liaise with auditors during the time of audit
  • Liaise with tax consultants
  • Ensure settlement of any statutory liabilities on time

FINANCIAL REPORTING:

  • Preparation and reporting of monthly Financial Statement (Statement of Comprehensive Income, Statement of Financial Position)
  • Conduct Financial Ratio Analysis to provide insight into future business needs
  • Conduct Variance Analysis to compare the periodic estimated costs of a rate proposal to the actual costs and provide reasoning for those variances
  • Forecast cash flow positions and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operation
  • Generate Aging Report and report on a weekly basis and highlight the critical outstanding amounts, develop strategies to ensure collection
  • Conduct Bank Reconciliation on a monthly basis
  • Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management
  • Compile key business metrics and report them to management
  • Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, if any
