Location: Head Office – Kathmandu (Coordination with branches, vendors, and regulators as required)

Role Purpose

The Senior Executive – IT and Systems is responsible for owning, developing, and stabilizing Ashutosh Brokerage’s core technology stack, with a strong focus on financial systems, trading software, OMS/TMS, back-office platforms, integrations, and data integrity.

This role goes beyond traditional IT support. It is a hands-on systems and development leadership position, responsible for translating brokerage operations, regulatory requirements, and business logic into robust, scalable, and compliant financial software systems.

The role acts as the single owner of system reliability, evolution, and technical governance, ensuring that all technology supporting trading, settlements, risk, compliance, and reporting functions operates seamlessly and securely.

Role Scope

Ownership of all core brokerage IT systems and applications
Hands-on involvement in software development, customization, and integrations
Primary technical owner of OMS, TMS, RMS, Back Office, and reporting systems
Responsible for system stability during market hours and critical events
Acts as the bridge between business, compliance, vendors, and developers
Long-term focus on scalability, automation, and audit-readiness

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Core Systems Ownership (OMS / TMS / Back Office)

Act as the primary technical owner of OMS, TMS, RMS, Back Office, and related financial systems
Ensure system availability, accuracy, and performance during trading and settlement cycles
Oversee system configurations, parameters, and rule engines
Ensure systems reflect approved business processes and regulatory requirements

Financial Software Development & Customization

Lead and execute custom development, enhancements, and automation for brokerage systems
Translate trading, settlement, margin, and reporting logic into technical specifications
Develop or oversee integrations between OMS, Back Office, Accounting, CRM, and reporting tools
Build internal tools, dashboards, and controls to reduce manual dependency

Data Integrity, Controls & Audit Readiness

Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation integrity, and traceability across systems
Implement system-level checks, logs, and exception reporting
Support internal audits, SEBON inspections, and system reviews
Ensure historical data availability, backups, and disaster recovery readiness

Coordination with Business, Compliance & Operations

Work closely with Trading, Operations, and Compliance to understand system needs
Convert regulatory or operational requirements into system logic and workflows
Ensure system changes are tested, documented, and approved before deployment
Act as a technical advisor to management on system feasibility and risks

Vendor & Technology Partner Management

Manage relationships with software vendors and technology partners
Review vendor deliverables, timelines, and system upgrades
Ensure no critical dependency risk on external vendors
Evaluate new technologies, platforms, or tools relevant to brokerage operations

Information Security & System Governance

Ensure appropriate access controls, role-based permissions, and audit trails
Protect sensitive financial and client data
Coordinate cybersecurity measures and incident response
Maintain system documentation, architecture notes, and SOPs

Scalability & Digital Transformation

Design systems to support growth in clients, branches, and transaction volumes
Identify opportunities for automation, straight-through processing, and efficiency gains
Support long-term digital transformation initiatives of the brokerage
Reduce operational risk through system-driven controls

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Additional qualifications in finance, systems, or certifications preferred

Experience

3–5 years of experience in financial systems, brokerage technology, or capital market software
Proven experience working with OMS / TMS / RMS / Back Office systems
Strong exposure to trading, settlements, margins, and regulatory workflows
Hands-on experience in software development, customization, or system integrations
Experience in regulated financial environments preferred
