Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build, integrate, test, and deploy a production-ready fintech/POS backend system along with three other related systems. The architecture is already defined, documentation is ready, and the front-end is prepared. Your role will be to execute, harden, and ensure reliability of the backend systems.

This is a full-time role with monthly performance bonuses. After the core development phase, the role can transition to remote work (work from home).

Responsibilities:

During Development:

Build and maintain a TypeScript-based backend
Integrate payment systems and external services
Implement retry logic, sync flows, and failure handling
Write tests that demonstrate the system works end-to-end
Secure APIs, secrets, and sensitive data

After completion of development :

Add new features
Support dynamic AI/prompt-driven tasks during the daytime
Coordinate with the team for daily tasks
update and optimize existing code

Tech Stack

Language: TypeScript, Javascript
Backend: Node.js, Express
Database: PostgreSQL (Prisma)
Cloud: Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager)
Integrations: Payment gateways, secure HMAC signing, polling & retry systems

Qualifications / Requirements

(Non-Negotiable):

Strong TypeScript + Node.js (Express) experience
Production experience with PostgreSQL
Real-world integration and testing experience
Ability to own features from build → test → production
Cloud deployment experience (GCP preferred)

Nice to Have:

Prisma ORM
Fintech/payments experience
Python for auxiliary scripts (not core)
API endpoint integration experience
