Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are hiring a Senior AI/ML Software Engineer focused on requirements and growth to help deliver outcomes in a fast-paced Teams as a Service (TaaS) environment. This role sits at the intersection of customers, engineering teams, and delivery leadership. You will lead technical discovery, translate business needs into clear requirements, and support solution design and verification. The ideal candidate is methodical, customer-facing, and comfortable turning ambiguous problems into well-scoped work that they can execute independently or with junior Software Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

AI/ML & Data Systems

Design, train, fine-tune, evaluate, and integrate AI/ML models into production systems, including hybrid modeling approaches
Apply model fine-tuning techniques (including domain-specific adaptations such as geofencing)
Design and implement hybrid AI systems (combining ML models, rules-based logic, and external systems)
Work hands-on with AI/ML tools and platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, SageMaker Notebooks, MLflow or similar)
Support hybrid training approaches, combining multiple data sources and training strategies
Establish data pipelines and autonomous data collection processes
Create feedback loops to continuously improve model and product performance
Define and implement metrics to analyze user behavior and system effectiveness
Perform data analysis and segmentation to support product and business decisions

Problem Solving & Client Engagement

Interface directly with client representatives to understand goals, constraints, and success criteria
Lead technical discovery and clarify ambiguous business problems
Contribute to business model discussions, market research, and solution ideation
Support decision-making by evaluating trade-offs and documenting rationale

Requirements & System Thinking

Capture, analyze, and decompose functional and non-functional requirements
Create and track unit test cases and support verification efforts
Lead peer reviews, creating code and system quality standards
Create and maintain structured artifacts: problem statements, assumptions, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
Design systems by connecting multiple components (AI, backend, frontend, data systems)
Evaluate alternative system architectures and technology stacks
Ensure systems are designed to evolve incrementally while remaining stable in production

Leadership & Team Development

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and external partners
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical training initiatives
Contribute to reusable frameworks, templates, and best practices

Additional Responsibilities

Take on additional competencies and responsibilities as defined on a sprint-by-sprint basis in alignment with team and business needs

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
5+ years (or equivalent) of professional experience in software, systems, or AI/ML engineering
Strong programming skills in object-oriented software Python, Java and C++.
Experience with taxonomy/data, parsing, retrieval/filtering, ranking/presentation
Experience with the following Tech Stack:
○     MLFlow → ML/search (core product intelligence)
○     AWS Sagemaker → ML/search (core product intelligence)

Recommended Qualifications

Experience with related tech stack:
○     React → web / possibly shared frontend patterns
○     Node.JS → backend orchestration

■     Pinecone Vector Search,
■     AWS S3
■     AWS RDS
○     Firebase→ auth + user identity
○     PostHog → analytics
Experience working with USA based companies
Experience working with requirements management software (i.e. https://www.jamasoftware.com/)

Employment Terms

This role may be offered on a contract or project-based basis, depending on client engagement and business needs.
Employment is closely aligned with active client projects and delivery requirements. Continuation of the role may depend on client retention, project scope, and overall business demand.
In the event of changes to client engagement or project availability, the company will provide a minimum of 30 days’ notice prior to termination or transition of the role, unless otherwise specified in the employment agreement.
Where feasible, the company will make reasonable efforts to reassign employees to other projects or engagements within the organization.
High-performing candidates will be considered for long-term or full-time employment opportunities based on business needs and individual contribution.
All employees are subject to a probation period of up to 180 days.
Performance evaluations are conducted periodically and may impact continuation, compensation, or role progression.
Employees must uphold MIAM’s ethical, confidentiality, and professionalism standards as outlined in the company HR policies.
