Roles and responsibilities of this job

We’re seeking part of a proactive and skilled team for the Accounts Manager role to contribute effectively to both core accounting functions and strategic financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
Maintain accounting records specific to construction projects, including cost tracking, billing, and revenue recognition.
Prepare Bank/Interest/VAT/TDS reconciliation
Handle tax audits and assessments in co-ordination with the relevant departments.
Review contracts and subcontracts to ensure financial terms are correctly implemented and monitored.
Monitor cash flow and ensure optimal fund allocation for projects.
Supervise and mentor the accounts team to ensure high productivity and accuracy.
Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure smooth financial operations across construction projects.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the CFO

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (Master’s degree preferred)

Experience

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in accounting and finance
At least 3-5 years in a construction or contracting company preferred
Strong hands-on experience in taxation (VAT, TDS, Income Tax)

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards (GAAP/ NFRS preferred)
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Swastik, FACT or equivalent)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality
Good communication and coordination skills
