Job Description

  • Maintain close liaison with Revenue and Reservations department and concentrate on Yield Management
  • Ensure repeat business with key accounts and bring on-board new clients
  • Must be actively involved in Social Media, trade-shows, competitor analysis and PR activities
  • Able to coach, mentor, develop and motivate a professional sales team
  • Must have strong financial insight in all sales objectives including forecasts, budgets etc.
  • Determine the corporate/travel trade marketing and sales strategy related to pricing and promoting to meet the objectives outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan.
  • Handle budgets for miscellaneous sales activities and promotions.
  • Supervise the existence of an efficient follow-up on all leads to maintain a good relationship and generate group/individual leads for the hotel.
  • Propose ideas for promotional materials to be distributed during sales calls, international trade shows and for other promotional activities.
  • Set up the corporate rates for local/international companies / travel trade accounts as well as other commercial accounts.
  • Handles all inquiries from potential clients that may involve meeting, site inspection, negotiation and contract writing.
  • Monitor and review sales performance to ensure hotel’s objectives are met with regards to room revenue.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings/briefings to keep all associates informed.
  • Take on additional roles and tasks from time to time as per operations requirements.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the hotel marketing plan and associated activities
  • Work closely across all hotel departments, seeking proactive opportunities and planned promotions to address specific business challenges, as required
  • Research and develop new opportunities within key target markets
  • Ensure accurate follow up and communication both internally to reservations and accounting departments, and confirmation to client ensuring delivery of superior guest service.
  • Gather market & customer information and provide feedback on buying trends, negotiate terms of an agreement and close sales deal
