Roles and responsibilities of this job

As the Reservation & Revenue Officer, you will be the central command for all guest communications and revenue-generating activities. Working from Nepal, you will manage the entire guest lifecycle—from the moment a traveler discovers us on an online travel agency (OTA) to the moment they check out.

This role combines reservation management, guest communication, and revenue optimization, ensuring smooth operations, high occupancy, and exceptional guest experiences. You are not just a booking agent; you are the guardian of our brand promise, responsible for converting leads into sales, upselling services, and maximizing revenue.

Key Responsibilities

1. Booking & Revenue Management

Inventory Management: Manage room/pod availability and pricing across OTAs (Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Hostelworld, Airbnb) and our direct website.
Dynamic Pricing: Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and seasonal demand to adjust rates in real-time, maximizing occupancy and RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room).
Channel Management: Ensure real-time availability updates across all platforms to prevent overbookings or double-bookings.
Sales Conversion: Respond promptly to inquiries via email, phone, and chat, converting leads into confirmed bookings and upselling rooms, packages, and services.

2. Guest Communication & Relationship Management

Pre-Arrival Excellence: Send personalized pre-arrival emails, share local guides, and manage special requests.
Customer Support: Handle booking modifications, cancellations, and guest complaints with professionalism and empathy.
Review Generation: Implement post-stay review strategies, encouraging guests to leave feedback on Google, Hostelworld, and other platforms.

3. Social & Direct Messaging Management

Social Inbox: Manage direct messages (DMs) on Instagram and other social channels, converting engagement into direct bookings.
CRM Management: Log all guest interactions into the CRM system, tracking lead sources and guest preferences for personalized future offers.

4. Reporting & Analytics

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on booking sources, cancellation rates, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and revenue forecasts.
Identify booking patterns and recommend promotional strategies (e.g., last-minute deals, extended-stay discounts)

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or Travel & Tourism Management.
Experience: 1–3 years in hospitality, particularly in reservations, revenue management, or travel/tourism roles. Experience with boutique hotels or hostels is a plus.
Sales Skills: Proven ability to convert leads into bookings and upsell services.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in PMS software, Channel Managers, and online booking platforms (e.g., SiteMinder, Booking.com, Airbnb). Familiarity with CRM systems is highly desirable.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a positive, professional demeanor

Location: Kathmandu (supporting hotel operations in Canada)
Employment Type: Full-time
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Nepal Time)
