Required Qualifications and Criteria: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Social Science, Economics, Management or Statistics, with at least 3 years of working experience in relevant field. Age should not exceed 45 years as of February 4, 2015.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills: S/he should have demonstrated knowledge on subjects of Research and Development and in Monitoring and Evaluation sector.
Duties and responsibilities
- Identify research and development needs of PAF and prepare a research strategy for PAF and carry out different research activities in line with emerging PAF needs
- Review and update research methodologies to identify poor
- Review and update research methodologies to conduct poverty impact assessments relating to sub- projects
- Prepare analytical reports based on survey and case studies of project areas
- Identify and develop case studies
- Assist in identification Based on lessons learnt prepare strategies to replicate successful PAF projects
- of R&D related SAs and supervise
- Network with other agencies national/international in identifying and upgrading state of the art research techniques
- Report periodically to the Monitoring & Evaluation Division research and Development related other activities as assigned by the management
- Develop strategies for research internship for university students and fresh graduates
- Liaise with think tank and universities to carry out research on poverty and community based development
- To coordinate different activities so as to make PAF as centre of excellence on poverty issues
- Publicize and disseminate research findings in coordination with PAF communication unit
- Other activities as assigned by the Division Chief
