NDRI is an independent, non-profit institution, a leading think tank in Nepal dedicated to address the contemporary and emerging challenges through quality research for evidence-based policy and programming. Established in 2004, NDRI comprises of an interdisciplinary team of experts with highest academic standings, and wealth of national and international experiences. NDRI focuses on creating opportunities for research, dialogue and collaboration.

NDRI works on 4 thematic areas: (i) Livelihood and Food Security; (ii) Water and Climate; (iii) Health, Education, and Environment; and (iv) Economic Growth and Development and 2 cross- cutting areas: (a) Disaster Risk Management and (b) Gender Equality and Social Inclusion.

As a part of the NDRI’s Health, Education and Environment Program (HEEP) team, the incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the HEEP Lead, and general supervision of the Executive Director. S/he will be stationed at NDRI office located at Sanepa, Lalitpur, Nepal, but might require travelling frequently to the study/project locations. The initial contract will be for one year, (subject to a successful completion of two-month probation period), with the possibility of extension depending on the performance and availability of funds.

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Education, Environmental Science or other relevant field with at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis
  • Experience in project development and execution
  • Pleasant personality and team worker with good command of both English and Nepali languages
