  • 5 years overall experience with at least 3 years relevant experience in project management or related unit setup, experience in running children home, shared services or operations environment within a project management role in human trafficking, child protection, or human rightsprograms
  • Ability to follow and guide projects through established process and methods
  • Strong communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills as well as strong verbal and written skills at all levels
  • Proficient MS-Office skills inclusive of strong PowerPoint skill (English & Nepali)
  • Provide information for budgeting, financial processes, and reporting, in cooperation with team accountant/financial controller
  • Must be willing to work extra hours according to the needs of the situation/mission
  • Experience in designing, managing, monitoring and evaluating child protection/anti-trafficking/human rights programs in emergencies, transitions or development contexts
  • Knowledge of standards and guidelines in child protection in Nepal, child welfare systems and government organizations; existing working relationships a plus
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, institutional donors and experience with developing proposals.
  • Ability to write clear, complete, and fact based assessment and project reports
  • Excellent communication skills; a high level of written and spoken English and Nepali
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working, traveling and living circumstances

Job Description

  • Monitor and review all financial transactions weekly, or more often as needed
  • Financial approvals of all expenditures as per policies
  • Coordinate with HR division for recruitment and training of staff as needed
  • Manage weekly progress/status meeting with staff
  • Review children’s care, nutritional and other needs
  • Supervise and maintain established procedures and regulations
  • Supervise record keeping of the children and important updates
  • Manage schedule and assure counseling in coordination with counselors and reintegration officers
  • Monitor and review performance
