Shanker group was founded in the year 1979 by Mr. Shanker Lal Agrawal with integration of diversified operating companies, which had grown over the years since the initial foray in to business by Mr. Rawat Mal Agarwal in Rangoon, Burma in 1930 and the beginning in Nepal in the year 1960 with the setup of company manufacturing buttons.

Job Description

Department: Sales – Proton 4W Division
Reports To: Head – Sales & Business Development

Job Purpose:

To drive sales performance, market share growth, and dealer engagement for the assigned region (Eastern or Western Nepal) through effective sales planning, execution, team leadership, and customer focus, in alignment with the company’s overall sales strategy for Proton premium vehicles.

Detailed Duties & Responsibilities:

Regional Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement regional sales plans based on national sales targets and business forecasts.
  • Identify potential sub-regions and cities for network expansion (dealers/sub-dealers).
  • Conduct detailed competitor analysis to adjust sales strategies dynamically.
  • Collaborate with marketing for region-specific promotional activities and product positioning.

Sales Operations & Performance Management

  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly retail and wholesale sales performance by model and outlet.
  • Drive target achievement across all showrooms and field teams.
  • Conduct regular performance review meetings with branch managers and sales officers.
  • Ensure adherence to pricing policy, discount structure, and promotional schemes.

Dealer Network & Channel Management

  • Supervise and evaluate dealer performance, ensuring profitability and compliance.
  • Identify and recommend new dealership opportunities in high-potential markets.
  • Ensure adequate stock allocation, logistics coordination, and display vehicles at showrooms.
  • Strengthen dealer engagement through training, support visits, and reward programs.

Market Development & Customer Engagement

  • Represent Proton in regional auto expos, fairs, and local marketing campaigns.
  • Build relationships with fleet operators, government agencies, and corporate clients.
  • Drive customer experience initiatives to enhance brand perception in the region.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Submit regular sales MIS reports to the Head – Sales & BD.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitor activities, and feedback on consumer trends.
  • Coordinate with finance for dealer payment follow-ups and credit management.

Team Leadership

  • Coach and mentor branch managers and showroom sales teams to achieve performance excellence.
  • Conduct regular field visits for on-ground support and motivation.
  • Ensure discipline, teamwork, and high morale within the regional sales team.
