Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Quality Control Officer will be responsible for independently managing quality control activities, including inspection of raw materials and finished products, laboratory testing, documentation, compliance with food safety standards, and preparation of quality reports. The role ensures that all products meet the organization's quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Raw Material & Product Inspection:

Inspect and evaluate the quality of incoming raw materials and packaging materials.
Conduct physical and chemical testing of raw materials.
Perform sampling and verify materials against quality specifications.
Approve or reject materials based on quality standards and maintain proper records.
Inspect finished products for quality, labeling, packaging, sealing, manufacturing Batch No/expiry dates, and overall compliance.
Monitor critical control points during production and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and HACCP guidelines.

Quality Control:

Supervise quality checks before, during, and after the manufacturing process.
Ensure finished products comply with food safety regulations and quality standards.
Coordinate with the production team to maintain consistent product quality.
Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), GMP, and HACCP requirements.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain laboratory records, test reports, sample tracking, and quality documentation.
Record and analyze quality test results accurately.
Coordinate with the store team regarding raw material verification, storage, and disposal of rejected materials.
Prepare and submit monthly quality reports to the concerned authority.
Submit daily work updates to the immediate supervisor via email before leaving the office.
Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Food Technology (B.Tech.) or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in the food industry is preferred.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of ISO, GMP, HACCP, and GLP standards.
Proficiency in laboratory testing procedures and quality control equipment.
Good computer skills.
Strong reporting, documentation, and analytical skills.
Good technical knowledge of food quality and safety standards
