Job Description

The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible to manage and guide the Quality Control team in Javra Software. Quality Control principally involves verifying that deliverables in Javra meet the requirements and expectations of our customers. The QC Manager carries out the supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Role and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leadership for the planning, test execution and day to day activities of QC Team.
  • Escalation point for resource allocation of the QC team into projects.
  • Define Organizational level Test Strategy. Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization.
  • Directly communicate and escalate any issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, Resources, Skill set) to Project Manager/ Team Manager/ Technical Manager.
  • Organize the status meetings and send the Status Report (Daily, Weekly etc.) to the concerned persons internal or external to the organization.
  • Work with IT team to arrange the Hardware and software requirements for the Test Environment.
  • Review various reports prepared by Test engineers.
  • Conduct periodic 1:1 meetings with the QC team
  • Contribute to support and maintain configuration management at Javra
  • Communicate with the Client (If required).
  • Work to continuously improve Quality Control practices in Javra Software
    • Promote Quality Control within Javra Software.
    • Communicate effectively about QC activities in the organisation.
    • Document and maintain guidelines and templates to support the work of the Quality Control team.
    • Coordinate with management to implement new practices and new techniques.
  • Coordinate the activities of QC Team members
    • Ensure that the QC team has sufficient work in the project
    • Assign and Balance the QC tasks within the team
    • Report to higher management about QC Team assignments and responsibilitie
  • Participate in the growth and maturing of Javra’s Quality Control team, including:
    •  Build a testing team of professionals with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation
    • Train, evaluate, supervise and motivate QC staff. Also conduct training sessions to other Javra members whenever required. Is responsible for recruiting, personnel decisions, and day to day team performance management ( planning, assigning, and directing work; setting and evaluating work goals and objectives, and appraising performance using different metrics)                 
    • Make suggestions for growth strategy
    • Conduct trainings, walkthrough, and monthly meetings
  • Participate in other Quality Assurance activities:
    • Participate in project documentation reviews 
    • Documentation
    • Process Improvement

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in the IT field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality Control.
  • At least 2 years in the Lead or managerial position.
