Software Quality Control Engineer shall be engaged with both internal and external projects and shall be involved throughout the project life cycle.  QCEs shall review project artifacts, write test plans for regression and functional testing, execute software tests and generate test reports.  Typically a Quality Control engineer will be involved with a wide variety of projects making use of a wide variety of software technologies.

Role and Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Making Test Cases and Test Plan
• Perform different types of tests: Exploratory, manual,smoke, black box, Cross browser testing, functional, UI, Regression, Usability and performance testing using tools like firebug, yslow.
• Performing database queries, debugging and code level testing.
• Testing different types of applications like Desktop, mobile and web
• Maintaining and upgrading test environment in windows and Linux machine regularly.
• Deploying application in live version both windows and in Linux. Deploying application for client demo.
• Keeping track of bugs and updating its status using bug tracking tool XEPST.
• Providing test summary report and test case report providing major deploying functionalities of application and major bug fixes lists to the team.
• Performing all configuration management tasks in a project like making release package, maintaining versions of releases, making tags and branches on SVN.
• Preparing and setup release package.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of software testing experience
• Good knowledge of the software testing activities
• Skilled in using some software testing tools
• Able to setup test environment as required
• Good knowledge of configuration management (SVN)
