Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a proactive, professional, and relationship-driven Public Relations Officer (PRO) to strengthen the company's engagement with communities, government authorities, media, and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the company's positive public image, supporting project communications, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement throughout project planning, construction, and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a positive public image of the company.
Build and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Organize community engagement programs, public consultations, and awareness campaigns related to hydropower projects.
Prepare press releases, newsletters, speeches, and other communication materials for public events.
Handle public inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
Support the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and communicate their impact.
Monitor media coverage and public opinion regarding company activities.
Assist in obtaining community support and maintaining good relations during project construction and operation.
Coordinate with environmental and social teams to communicate project impacts and mitigation measures.
Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and community leaders.
Maintain records of stakeholder meetings, grievances, and communication activities.
Prepare periodic reports on public relations activities and stakeholder engagement.
Ensure all communications comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
Support crisis communication during emergencies or incidents affecting the project.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Journalism, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in public relations, stakeholder engagement, community relations, or corporate communications
Experience in construction, infrastructure, hydropower, engineering, or development projects will be an added advantage.
Must have excellent inoperating Ms Office package
Must have good writing and speaking skills in both Nepali and English
