Job Description

Project Officer (Environment & Development) are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing solutions to environmental problems. They work to ensure that organizations, communities, and individuals comply with environmental regulations and strive to minimize the impact of human activities on the environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): Conduct assessments to evaluate the potential environmental impact of proposed projects or developments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with environmental regulations and ensure that projects and activities comply with local, state, and federal environmental laws.
  • Waste Management: Design and implement waste management plans to minimize the generation of hazardous waste and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
  • Water Quality Monitoring: Monitor and analyze water quality, and develop strategies to improve or maintain environmental quality standards.
  • Sustainable Design: Collaborate with architects and other engineers to incorporate sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in the design and construction of projects.
  • Climate Change Adaptation: Collaborate with schools, communities tominimize the risk of climate change.
  • Public Outreach and Education: Communicate with the public, government agencies, and other stakeholders to explain environmental issues, regulations, and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Masters In Environment Engineering/ Environmental Science.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and laws.
  • Proficiency in environmental modeling software and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and green engineering practices.
  • Ability to work in the field, sometimes in challenging environmental conditions.
  • Project management skills for overseeing and coordinating environmental projects.
  • Commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Note: Candidates must have two wheeler with valid license.
