Sano Paila (A Little Step) is commissioned by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH under Capacity Building and Finance for National Action on Climate and Biodiversity (CBF), to develop the Mobility plan for Birendranagar Municipality, Surkhet in two years. The primary objective of the Mobility Plan for Birendranagar Municipality is to develop the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of the Birendranagar Municipality to improve the transportation system for roads and mobility management of the municipality to make it carbon free and people friendly. This overall objective is defined by the following benchmarks:

•     Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) is endorsed by Municipality
•    Policy Intervention for SUMP implementation is proposed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Assist the Project Manager in the overall management/ implementation of the project and in the collection and compilation of field data and reports
• Support the outreach to stakeholders and the organization of awareness-raising activities
• Organize events and working group meetings
• Support in reporting and administration of the projects
• Support project development
• Cross-functional duties when needed and assign 

Education, Experience, and Skills 

• Bachelor's degree in development studies/social work with proven years of experience in project management with sound reporting writing and financial skills. 
• Should be able to travel in and outside the project location.
