We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of the GRIPS2 Project—a pioneering industrial decarbonization initiative focused on deploying smart solar + battery microgrids at large-scale steel facilities in Nepal.

GRIPS2 (Grid Resiliency through Intelligent Photovoltaic and Storage) is scaling a successful residential pilot into a 2MW industrial microgrid, reducing reliance on diesel, improving grid resilience, and integrating Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS) and Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) principles into industrial clean energy systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day implementation of the GRIPS2 work plan, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and quality reporting to UNIDO and consortium partners.
Coordinate between Practical Action, Gham Power, and Swanbarton to ensure seamless technical, operational, and financial execution.
Manage vendor oversight, procurement coordination, budgeting, and technical reporting.
Manage relationships with investor groups, industry associations, solar companies and other relevant stakeholders to organize dissemination events.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement with industry partners, NEA, and local authorities.
Plan and supervise field visits to the Laxmi Steel factory and conduct data validation.
Contribute to communication and knowledge-sharing efforts to promote replication.

What We're Looking For

At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably in renewable energy, energy access, or entrepreneurship.
Experience managing donor-funded projects (UN, DFI, or INGO context preferred).
Excellent coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Familiarity with battery energy storage, solar PV, microgrids, or energy management systems is a plus.
Background in engineering, environmental sciences, development studies, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of inclusion and sustainability principles.
