Position: PR, Communications, and Gender Advisor
Duty Station: Kathmandu

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of the REEEP communications and marketing strategy, including external communications, branding, media relations and stakeholder communications, in line with GIZ corporate identity and donor visibility guidelines.
• Production of high-quality content (digital, print, audio-visual) that promotes the project's results and Nepal’s renewable energy transition and green growth, and management of the project's public profile across social media, web and traditional media.
• Support to stakeholder-facing campaigns for renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency measures and green economy initiatives in cooperation with project partners.
• Mainstreaming gender equality across the project, including conducting gender analysis of the energy sector, designing specific activities for implementation of the gender strategy, drafting relevant ToRs and managing consultants, and screening every tender published by the project to ensure it contains gender aspects and meets the EU Gender Action Plan (GAP).
• Drafting strategic communication plans for political high-level events.
• Other supporting work and tasks as required.

Required qualifications and experience:

Educational Qualifications:

Master’s degree in business administration or other relevant fields, international degree is preferred.

Professional Experience:

• 5 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing or journalism roles.
• Minimum 1-3 years of international work and/or study experience (including studying abroad).
•  Ideally the candidate has already an established network with the new government of Nepal and knows their language when communicating to the common people.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting gender analysis of the energy sector and designing gender-sensitive activities is required.
• Team player with pro-active and independent work attitude.
• Good communication and networking skills.

Language Proficiency:

• Fluency in Nepali
• Proficiency in English equivalent to level C2
