About the Role:  Practical Action has an exciting opportunity for a 'Project Manager' to work under Climate Change and Fragility (CCF) project based in Nepalgunj. Reporting to the Head of Programme Delivery, the position will be accountable for leading the planning and delivery of the project; S/he shall coordinate for effective and sustainable project strategies/ approaches and implementation of activities as well as ensure coherence and effectiveness in influencing so as to contribute to the organization's Strategic Business Plan and the Climate Change Ambitions. S/he shall be overall in-charge of the CCF Project in Nepal.

About you:

  • The minimum qualification of Master's Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management with Five years' experience in the related field is required
  • As an experienced and credible Project Manager, you will have knowledge of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) policy and implementation processes
  • You will act as communication and coordination focal point with other relevant factors for the project
  • You will have a proven track record of adding value and can demonstrate strong strategic and analytical problem-solving skills
  • In addition, you will have experience of managing overall contract and follow the conditions of award; manage, coach and mentor project team members for professional growth by offering quality feedback  and opportunities to progress and grow; ensure that all involved through the project including partners and those acting on the organization's behalf are well aware and apply the safeguarding principles, code of conduct, protection policy, fraud policy and whistleblowing policy
