Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the team for implementation of the activities in the project communities and regularly reporting the progress/status to the organization; coordinating and networking with stakeholders at all levels; supporting the project team for organising events; organising semi/annual review and planning meetings. This position reports to the lead of organization.
Key Qualification and competencies:
- Master’s degree in Environment Science, Sustainable Development, Social Science or related field with minimum three years of demonstrated work experience or bachelor’s degree with minimum five years of experience in environment conservation, climate justice, sustainable development or relevant sector.
- Experience in policy engagement, lobby and advocacy, youth mobilization, training delivery and report writing.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Training and experience in environment conservation, climate justice, and sustainable and green enterprises is desirable.
- Knowledge and skills in managing social media and online platforms.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, enthusiastic and entrepreneurial attitude and willing to bring creative ideas in the work.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Nepali.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the project implementation planning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of project’s activities.
- Support for youth empowerment and mobilize team for implementation project and activities.
- Facilitate effective coordination and networking with national, provincial and local governments and related stakeholders at local to south Asian level.
- Be responsible to implement the project and activities, build relationship with local government officials, stakeholders, media and support team in building relationship with provincial and local level.
- Engage in policy advocacy and lobby at different level, and conducting meetings and training according to project plan.
- Conduct/support project campaigns, workshops, work closely and support youth advocacy coordinators and district youth mobilization officers for climate justice, youth rights and implementing project activities.
- Manage to utilize social media and use online platforms for capacity building and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct program monitoring in the districts, communicate program requirements, develop knowledge documents, prepare organizational and project progress reports of high quality.
Duration and workstation: September 2022 – December 2025 Kathmandu with frequent travel to implementing areas (7 districts- Kathmandu, Makawanpur, Dhading, Chitwan, Kavrepalanchowk, Ramechhap, Dolakha)
