Job Description

Project : GREEN VILLAGE NEPAL

The first Green Village started in July 2018, with a unique and experimental project of a Sustainable Entrepreneurial Training Center for out-of-school Young Adults nearby Raipur (Chhattisgarh), India. This soft skill training center has welcomed and trained already +300 Youth coming from skilling programs like Vocational Training Programs (VTPs) or other organisms (livelihood, other NGOs, associations...), helped them in developing professional grooming and employability skills (communication skills, organization and management, time management, business mindset, teamwork, citizenship...). The final objective is to help them to find a stable and decent job (by teaching them, without placement). 

Based on the same replicable model, a Green Village was created in January 2020 in Kathmandu, now located in Godawari, Lalitpur.

Both projects use a hands-on pedagogy in the social and professional integration of Youth based on the 13 years experience of Life Project 4 Youth Foundation, LP4Y, specialized in integration of excluded Youth. In a team, the Youth create and develop micro- companies in order to develop skills, gain self-esteem and become actors of their life.

Organization and management (project management)

  • Coordinate the development of your program across all of its aspects (human resources, organization, finance of the micro-company activities, pedagogy, partnership, etc.) with the help of LP4Y Nepal support and management.
  • Coordinate and be a leader for the good flow of your Center
  • Maintain relations with the Alumni of the Program

Pedagogy and accompaniment of the Youth (training and transversal management)

  • Show an exemplary behavior, be a model of professionalism, safety and ecological consciousness to inspire the Youth
  • Develop guidance on personality development and regular follow up on the youth.
  • Lead the Youth to identify their skills and qualities and develop their Life Project Plan accordingly

Development of a micro company (social entrepreneurship)

  • You ensure the creation, the development of the economic activities of the program
  • Support the Youth in the development of the micro-company as a team, by making them experience the different sides of entrepreneurship: creation, production, sale, management, finance and HR.

Partnership development (communication and strategy)

  • Identify the training needs of young adults and the community.
  • Facilitate capacity-building activities to local partners in consultation with the concerned coordinator.
  • Attend capacity-building activities as directed.
  • Participate in the organization relations with internal and external partners of your center: companies, ngos, schools, local shop and institutions

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 24 years old
  • Fluent in Nepali, well command in English (compulsory)
  • Work experience in the corporate sector will be appreciated
  • Good knowledge in MS office (word, excel, drive, email…)
  • Professional behavior
  • Ability to work in a team (team spirit) especially with intercultural members
  • Motivated and proactive profile who like challenges, volunteer and benevolent spirit
  • Ready to learn and grow

Benefits

  • Life in Community [mandatory] : Housing (personal room with common space to share with others volunteers) and basic food on site is provided.
  • Allowance: NPR.27600/Monthly(Twenty Seven Thousands and six hundred). Final pay will be paid through check/bank transfer on the 25th of each month.
  • Will be taken in charge by LP4Y of your expenses if you need to travel as and when required for Project Purpose.
  • Social Security Fund provided
  • Holidays : 2 days / month + 8 days blank holidays

Working Schedule:

  • Working time : about 40h/week
  • Work days : Monday to Friday based on 8 hours/day
  • Duration: 12 months
