Job Description

Plant Manager shall be responsible for:

  • Overall planning, organizing, coordination, supervision and control of the overall O&M activities of the Hydropower Plants to ensure uninterrupted power generation
  • Ensuring operation of power plant including Headworks, switchyards, transmission line and Inter-connecting substation according to procedures and safety requirements and standards
  • Direct operations, maintenance, or repair of hydroelectric power facilities to shift operators
  • Planning, scheduling and timely execution of the Preventive and corrective Maintenance of the Power Plants
  • Shall be actively coordinating operation with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Load Dispatch Center (LDC) & Department of Electricity Development (DOED) based on requirement
  • Maintain records of hydropower facility operations, maintenance, or repairs as per NEA approved plant operating procedure
  • Develop or review budgets, annual plans, power contracts, power rates, standing operating procedures, power reviews, or engineering studies
  • Develop or implement policy evaluation procedures for hydropower generation activities
  • Communication and Coordination with the Head office
  • Provide technical direction in the erection or commissioning of hydropower equipment or supporting electrical or mechanical systems
  • Respond to problems related to water users, government agencies, or other stakeholders
  • Identify and communicate power system emergencies
