Position: Partnership Advisor
Duty Station: Biratnagar

Responsibilities:

Act as a key liaison, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance program visibility, coordination, and effectiveness, including municipalities, private sector actors, financial institutions, business associations, cooperatives, and development organizations in the province.
Nurture strategic partnerships with private sector companies, investors, business service providers that prioritize inclusive business models, and women’s economic empowerment.
Identify, assess, and onboard private sector partners—including SMEs, agribusinesses, startups, and impact investors—to support scaling of market-based solutions and women-led enterprises.
Provide expert advice to partners, guiding collaboration that promotes sustainable private sector development.
Facilitate the development of gender-inclusive, climate resilient value chains and promote women- led enterprises and cooperatives in agricultural and related markets for scaling solutions in alignment with project objectives, partner agreements.
Support the design and management of private-sector engagement platforms, including entrepreneurship bootcamps, business incubation or acceleration programs, innovation challenges,matchmaking events, and investor roundtables to stimulate scalable enterprise growth.
Provide direct technical support to entrepreneurs and cooperatives on business model refinement, financial planning, market strategy, pitch deck development, and growth orientation to enhance their investment readiness.
Engage with stakeholders to drive innovation and expand the reach and impact of project interventions, including the institutionalization of good practices
Support and coordinate knowledge management efforts to document, analyze, and disseminate innovative practices, key developments, and lessons learned to relevant audiences.
Incorporate lessons learned and project results to enhance programmatic efficiency and long-term sustainability.
Support in developing and maintaining gender-sensitive monitoring frameworks to track progress, measure the impact of gender mainstreaming initiatives, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Master’s degree in business administration, agriculture, forestry, development studies, or related field
At least 3 years of experience in partnership management, private sector engagement in scaling business ideas
Demonstrated expertise in climate resilient value chain development and private sector development, with a proven track record of implementing successful interventions.
Strong familiarity with gender-transformative and inclusive approaches in agriculture, forestry and private sector development
Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and managing diverse partnerships across sectors.

Required Skills and Competencies

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to foster partnerships and team collaboration.
Strong ability to think strategically and design practical business support programs and private-sector partnerships that is scalable.
Strong technical and analytical skills to provide expert advice and technical backstopping.
Competence in knowledge sharing and the integration of learning for organizational improvement.
Fluency in English and Nepali language

GRAPE 2 is a joint Nepali-German Project under the guidance of the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation (MoLCPA), Government of Nepal, with Technical Assistance by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, jointly financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU). The overall objective of the Project is to strengthen gender-equitable and climate-resilient economic development in Nepal.

The project focuses on five key areas:

1. Business Development: Supporting new and existing Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized enterprises (MSMEs) that contribute positively to climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, youth empowerment and gender equality.
2. Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: Developing climate-resilient and biodiversity-friendly value chains and markets through partnerships.
3. Local Economic Governance: Promoting gender-responsive and climate-resilient economic development through improved local governance.
4. Awareness Raising: Sensitizing actors in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to the role of women in economic development.
5. Scaling Innovation: Expanding successful practices, tools and technologies for a gender - equitable and climate-resilient economic development.
