Perform practical procedures involved in examination, investigation, and treatment of common eye diseases and perform minor extra-ocular surgeries as required
Impart primary eye health education on health promotion and prevention of preventable eye diseases
Perform preliminary screening examinations of the ophthalmic patients
Assist senior health personnel in surgery by preparing patients for surgery and carrying out postoperative management of patients
Ensure that all areas and equipments are well maintained and cleaned to the standard at the beginning and at the end of the workday
Perform refraction and prescribe and dispense spectacles and medication to patients
Responsible for working in Community Eye Centers (CEC) in hilly districts of Nepal to ensure quality patient care, optimal customer service, and the promotion of community eye health
