Job Summary:

The Operations Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of assigned supermarket branches to ensure smooth store functioning, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and achievement of business targets. The role involves coordinating with Store Managers and departmental teams to maintain operational standards, inventory control, staff productivity, and overall branch performance in alignment with company policies and business objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Store Operations Management

Monitor and supervise daily operations of assigned supermarket branches.
Ensure proper implementation of operational SOPs, policies, and company standards.
Conduct regular branch visits and operational inspections.
Ensure smooth coordination between departments within stores.
Monitor store opening and closing procedures.

2. Sales & Performance Monitoring

Track daily and monthly sales performance of assigned stores.
Support stores in achieving sales targets and operational KPIs.
Analyze branch performance reports and identify improvement areas.
Coordinate promotional activities and ensure proper execution at store level.
Monitor customer flow and operational efficiency to maximize sales opportunities.

3. Team Supervision & Coordination

Supervise Store Managers, Supervisors, and operational staff of assigned stores.
Monitor staff attendance, discipline, grooming, and productivity.
Coordinate with HR regarding manpower planning and staffing requirements.
Support onboarding and operational training for new employees.
Ensure proper communication and coordination among all assigned branches.

4. Inventory & Stock Management

Monitor stock availability and replenishment across assigned branches.
Ensure proper inventory handling, stock rotation, and FIFO practices.
Minimize stock loss, damages, expiry, and shrinkage.
Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams for stock requirements.
Ensure proper merchandising and product display standards are maintained.

5. Customer Service & Compliance

Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained in all branches.
Handle and resolve operational and customer-related issues promptly.
Monitor store cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with company operational policies and procedures.
Support implementation of customer engagement and retention initiatives.

6. Reporting & Operational Analysis

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Submit branch performance updates and operational findings to the GM.
Analyze operational challenges and recommend improvement plans.
Monitor branch KPIs including sales, shrinkage, customer service, and productivity.

7. Coordination & Process Improvement

Coordinate with HR, Accounts, Procurement, IT, and Marketing departments for smooth operations.
Support implementation of new operational systems and process improvements.
Ensure timely follow-up and execution of management instructions.
Assist management in operational expansion and new branch setup activities.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in retail supermarket operations as store manager.
Experience in handling multi-branch/store operations preferred.
Knowledge of retail operational standards and inventory management.

Competencies (KSA)

Knowledge:

Understanding of supermarket operations and branch management.
Knowledge of inventory control, merchandising, and customer service practices.
Basic understanding of sales analysis and operational reporting.

Skills:

Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel)
Effective communication and coordination skills
Problem-solving and organizational skills

Abilities / Attitude:

Result-oriented and proactive mindset.
Ability to manage multiple branches and operational challenges.
Attention to detail and operational discipline.
Team-oriented and adaptable attitude.

Note: Must have a two-wheeler with a valid driving license.
