A carpet manufacturing and exporting company specializing in crafting high-quality, custom-made products with exceptional craftsmanship and durability is seeking an Operations Associate. This is a full-time, entry-level position designed for individuals looking to build practical experience in manufacturing operations, production coordination, and administrative support. This is not a desk-only role. The successful candidate will work closely with production staff, managers, suppliers, and directors to support daily operations while developing a strong understanding of how an international manufacturing and export business operates.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Operations:

Support the production team throughout all stages of manufacturing, from raw material preparation to finished product completion.
Assist in monitoring production timelines and ensuring operational processes remain on schedule.
Record and maintain accurate production data in both physical and digital systems.
Help prepare production-related documents and ensure required materials are available on time.
Coordinate with suppliers and external stakeholders to support uninterrupted production.
Assist with quality control procedures and report any production issues or non-compliance observed during operations.

Inventory & Coordination:

Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished goods.
Support inventory tracking, material usage reporting, and stock reconciliation.
Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate timely communication and completion of operational tasks.
Help identify operational bottlenecks and report areas where processes can be improved.

General Support:

Prioritize and complete daily operational and administrative tasks with accuracy and reliability.
Assist directors and department heads with reporting, documentation, filing, record retrieval, and follow-up activities.
Provide general administrative support as required to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:Less than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree completed or currently running in a relevant field.
Basic English communication skills (written, reading, and verbal).
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and spreadsheet applications.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable, disciplined, and willing to learn.
Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of Jorpati, Kathmandu.

Preferred Skills:

Interest in manufacturing, operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
Previous internship or work experience in an administrative or production environment is an advantage but not required.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment.
Familiarity with inventory management or operational reporting is an advantage.

Salary:

Salary commensurate with qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.

Duration:

Full-time position upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.

Workdays:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Two-day weekend).
