CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC), a public limited company incorporated under the prevalent laws of Nepal on Mangsir 15, 2066 (November 30, 2009). CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) was founded by the then Clean Energy Development Bank to provide equity investment for hydropower projects to meet energy needs of the nation. CHDC is currently mandated to invest in and develop Hydropower Projects. It has got five hydropower projects in operation and four projects at Pre- construction and development stages.

  • Syange Mini Hydropower Project (183 KW) -Lamjung
  • Radhi Bidyut Small Hydropower Project (4.4 MW) -Lamjung
  • Tallo Khare Khola Hydropower Project (11 MW) -Dolakha
  • Dordi-1 Hydro Electric Project (12 MW) -Lamjung
  • Rukum Gad Hydropower Project (5 MW) -Rukum

  • B.E (Electrical/Mechanical).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Operation & Maintenance of Hydro power plant.
  • Should possess all the minimum skill sets required for handling the designated post.
  • Good knowledge of operation & maintenance management.

Job Description

  • Manage operational processes and functions required for the safe, efficient and economical operation of the power plant.
  • Manage and support daily operation activities such as planning, coordinating and controlling plant operations in accordance with written requirements, procedures and schedules.
  • Coordination of the development of plant procedures and shift instructions, including safety procedures, statutory regulations, outage schedules and routine test and inspection schedules.
  • Manage the work of the shift personnel and supervise the strict compliance with Customers safety rules, Support the training of the power plant operations personnel.
  • Manage the processing, approving, closing and status reporting of fault notifications, work orders and isolation and the monitoring of the ‘Permit to Work’ system.
  • Coordination of planning for Minor and Major Inspections.
  • Sound knowledge about hydro power sector, rule and regulation, the updated act of Nepal.
  • Monitor and implementation of Health and Safety program.
  • Overall management works related to the power plant.
