    Position: Assistant Officer- Admin & Finance
    Duty Station: Central Office- Kathmandu
    Contract Type: Fixed term contract with three months of probation period

    Program Background:

    Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Program is a community-based model of inclusive development implemented in direct partnership with the provincial government of Koshi Province and local governments. The goal of the program is to prevent avoidable disabilities and improve the quality of life of children and adults with disabilities and their families through community-based rehabilitation. It works to strengthen community support systems for the achievement of these goals.

    Required qualifications and experiences:

    Education and experience

    • +2, with a minimum of 2 years of administrative or finance related experience., Preferable bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minimum of 1 year of administrative or finance related experience.
    • Prior experience in finance/admin in developmental organization is preferable. 

    Skills and Abilities

    • Proficient in written and oral communications - English and Nepali (mandatory)
    • Strong interpersonal skills, team oriented 
    • Proficient in using basic office package (Ms. Word, excel, PowerPoint) 
    • Proactive and independent approach to work with willingness to undertake additional responsibilities.
    • Ability to initiate and implement activities with minimal supervision and manage high volume workflow with multiple tasks.
    • Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
    • Resourceful in resolving problems and initiating solutions.

    Job Description

    Key responsibilities:

    Procurement and logistics related (25%) :

    • Support to Finance manager in Procurement of goods and service 
    • Ensure the delivery of logistics items at Central Office and other designated districts in coordination with team leaders and admin finace representatives ensuring the complete distribution documentation.
    • Be custodian of documents of procurement processes (e.g. Quotation calling, screening, ,Purchase Orders, etc.)
    • Ensure timely legal requirement of origination, its vehicle including insurance, and other services.
    • Necessary Coordination with Insurance company

    Admin and finance  related (75%) :

    • Bank account reconciliation of central office
    • ETDS, Retirement fund, SSF and CIT related information update and necessary coordination
    • Manage the filing, storage and security of financial documents as required.
    • Vender list update and manage required information 
    • Update fixed assets records and its physical verification 
    • Process invoices and payments as requested. 
    • Hand over cheque to vendor and attach receipt in the voucher.
    • Assist the Finance team on all finance related tasks as and when required.
    • Assist in financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process (internal and external audit) 
    • Regular follow-up of staffs works advance 
    • Petty cash handling
