Roles and responsibilities of this job

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, secure, and efficient operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure and system operations. The role involves day-to-day monitoring, operation, and maintenance of network and system infrastructure in line with NCHL’s operational, security, and regulatory requirements.

Job Specification:

At least University degree in Engineering, Computer Application/ Science, IT or related field.
3-5 years of experience in implementation and support of network and communication system, ICT infrastructure.
Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Exposure to load balancing, failover, and high availability network design, implementation and maintenance.
Monitor LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network) and wireless networks including maintenance of cabling, racking, and equipment management
Experience in configuring and managing the firewalls, switches, WAF and other network equipment. Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, Routing, switching)
Implement system hardening standards for Linux (Red Hat, Oracle Linux) and Windows-based servers, firewalls, switches, load balancer, network devices, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks).
Understanding of active directory domain, file server, email system, PKI infrastructure.
Participate in day-to-day operations of physical data center and system monitoring including 24/7 rotational shifts.
Assist in patch management and software updates for operating systems and infrastructure components.
Understanding of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), AIX Platform, HCI environment and networking/network technologies.
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers for issue resolution and infrastructure improvements.
Assist with the deployment and monitoring of endpoint protection tools, antivirus, IPS/IDS and ACLs.
Experience in operational environments requiring high availability and security will be an advantage.
