Other Specification
  • Master’s degree in public health, statistics, demography, or Mass communication or related field and two years of experience in relevant field with 3 years of experience; or bachelor’s degree in public health, statistics, demography, or Mass communication or related field and 5 years of experience in relevant field. 
  • Demonstrated experience in documentation, M&E and data analysis, interpretation and use in public health.
  • Previous experience in I/NGOs and government sector particularly on health or specifically to COVID-19 sector will be an asset. 
  • Excellent communication, especially in interpersonal skills
  • Ability to initiate and implement activities with minimal supervision and manage high volume workflow with multiple tasks 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali

Job Description

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Documentation Officer is responsible for providing support for overall delivery of quality programme outputs, support in M&E and documentation of the COVID-19 Emergency Response (ER) plan activities under EpiC Nepal. This position is based in Kathmandu with frequent field visits to different parts of Nepal.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support and coordinate the review, update, and implementation of the COVID-19 ER plan activities including recording and reporting systems and tools to capture programme performance and results, and all monitoring for process and outcome evaluations.
  • Manage COVID-19 ER plan programme data, recording and reporting and ensure quality of the data.
  • Update monthly and quarterly programme deliverable tracker; communicate status of submission of deliverables in a timely manner; and support uploading of deliverables into internal reporting systems.
  • Work closely with the supervisor to support routine data verification and data quality assessments. 
  • Lead, coordinate and support the design, development, and implementation of M&E-related training, orientations, and workshops in coordination with administrative officer.
  • Lead and coordinate for creating and updating document repository, photo repository, contact matrix, SharePoint management, and providing support for data use/information dissemination.
  • Lead, coordinate, and support to document and publish success stories, two pagers, technical brief, reports, accomplishments, and lessons learned documents of the COVID-19 ER plan activities.
  • Support to prepare quarterly progress report, program, event, training/workshop, and meeting reports, proceedings, and monthly update of the COVID-19 ER plan activities.
  • Support to ensure the project’s branding and marking requirements, layout/formatting and editing of the documents, reports and presentations, and ensure the quality and standardization of the project requirements.
  • Perform any other task assigned by Country Director or Deputy/Project Director or supervisor.
