Job Description

Time Bound Contract - Six months to One year.
Job Location: WVI-NER, HQ, Lalitpur
Work Purpose:. To provide strategic leadership and guidance to the DME and Accountability Functions and ensures the quality and integration of programmatic interventions arising from the ministerial lines and accountability to communities.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s) in Sociology/Social Work/Rural Development/International Relations/Economics or other related subject from recognized university with at least five years field experience with International NGOs/ UN in emergency relief projects, community development or related field
  • Good knowledge about protection or gender programming
  • Excellent leadership, people management, coaching, mentoring and team building skills
  • Experience working in complex rehabilitation/development settings
  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail in the development of written documents
  • Well versed with logical framework analysis tool, performance management frameworks and budget management
  • Good knowledge of both urban and rural development dynamics
  • Experience working with institutional donors including DFID, USAID,EU
  • Positive and encouraging thinker, able to build bridges and influence others
  • Excellent English & Nepali communication skills (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
  • Have high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and independent
