Department: Marketing & Business Development

The Diplomat Nepal is Nepal’s first dedicated diplomatic magazine and media platform, covering diplomacy, foreign affairs, international relations, business, development, tourism, culture and other issues of national and international importance.

We are seeking a motivated and result-oriented Marketing Manager / Sales Executive to lead and support our marketing, advertising, sales and business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for The Diplomat Nepal.
Identify and approach potential advertisers, corporate clients, development organizations, embassies, diplomatic missions, institutions and other partners.
Generate advertising, sponsorship and partnership opportunities for the magazine, website and events.
Promote magazine subscriptions and institutional memberships.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Prepare sales proposals, advertising packages, quotations and presentations.
Coordinate with clients regarding advertisements, promotional campaigns and publication schedules.
Explore new revenue opportunities through digital media, events, sponsorships and strategic partnerships.
Maintain regular sales follow-up and client records.
Meet assigned monthly/quarterly sales and revenue targets.
Coordinate with the editorial, creative, administration and event teams as required.
Prepare regular marketing and sales reports for management.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism or a related field.
1–3 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, media, advertising, business development or client relations is preferred.
Fresh graduates with strong communication and sales abilities may also be considered for the Sales Executive position.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Good command of written and spoken English and Nepali.
Ability to develop professional relationships with corporate and institutional clients.
Strong presentation, networking and follow-up skills.
Target-oriented, proactive and self-motivated.
Basic knowledge of digital marketing and social media is an advantage.
