Business Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead business growth and support the establishment and expansion of TechSkills Nepal. The ideal candidate will have strong business development, partnership-building, sales, and operational coordination skills, with the ability to turn market opportunities into sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth & Market Development

• Plan and execute the phased launch of TechSkills Nepal, from initial setup through long-term business growth.
• Drive student enrolment and increase awareness and adoption of TechSkills programs.
• Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and growth channels.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments and provide forecasts and insights to guide business and brand direction.
• Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.

2. Partnership Development

• Identify, establish, and maintain partnerships with colleges, companies, educational institutions, industry groups, and other relevant organizations.
• Develop mutually beneficial partnerships that support student enrolment, training delivery, and business growth.
• Represent TechSkills Nepal at meetings, events, networking opportunities, and strategic discussions.
• Build and maintain strong, professional, and long-term relationships with partners and key stakeholders.
• Prepare and present partnership proposals and business opportunities.

3. Operations & Business Setup

• Oversee training operations and the overall student journey, from enquiry through program completion.
• Develop and implement clear processes, workflows, SOPs, and team structures for the Nepal office.
• Identify and secure suitable training venues, office space, and other facilities required for operations.
• Coordinate operational requirements to ensure smooth program delivery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant local legal, registration, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the Australia team to maintain consistency in programs, processes, service standards, and quality.

4. Brand Development & Business Materials

• Support the establishment of TechSkills as a trusted and recognized name in Nepal’s training market.
• Lead the planning and development of business materials, including proposals, presentations, partnership documents, and partner information packs.
• Work with internal teams to support business growth, program delivery, and student intake.
• Represent the organization professionally and strengthen its presence within the education and training sector.

5. Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to improve lead generation, lead quality, and conversion.
• Coordinate with Training and Student Coordination teams to understand program offerings and student and employer requirements.
• Communicate relevant market, student, and employer feedback to management.
• Coordinate internally to ensure commitments made to clients and partners are delivered effectively and on time.
• Facilitate effective communication between business development, sales, marketing, training, and operations teams.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Continuously evaluate business development strategies and identify opportunities to improve
• Recommend new approaches, tools, partnerships, and business channels to support sustainable growth.
• Stay informed about relevant industry trends, business development practices, sales strategies, and market opportunities.
• Use performance data and market feedback to recommend improvements to management.
