Legal Head

• To contribute to the business’ objectives through providing first class legal advice on the contractual relationships underpinning the company’s business
• To implement legal and public relation strategies for the business which are consistent with the long-term interests of the company
• To ensure that business operations / future initiatives or projects comply with all current legislation, regulations and best practice within the legal profession at all times
• To highlight risk issues where relevant, and to seek ways to mitigate risk through innovative solutions
• Acting as the first contact point in obtaining legal instructions / advice to ensure the activities are compliant within the framework of Nepalese Law;
• To take overall responsibility for the effective management including drafting and negotiation of a large volume of contracts across the range of the company’s activities
• Dealing with all legal and regulatory matters including dealing with various authorities and government offices.
• Strong network and experience in policy making preferred
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the legal department for management meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in law with minimum 5 years of experience
• Proven success in risk management field
• Work exposure in multinational company will be an extra advantage
• Must possess excellent decision-making, strategic thinking, leadership, interpersonal, and ethical conduct skills
• A results-driven leader and creative problem solver, who takes full ownership of their responsibilities
